Amit Shah on Pahalgam tragedy: "Every life lost will be avenged"

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, May issued a strong warning to terror outfits, reaffirming the government’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism while underscoring its firm resolve to eliminate terror from every corner of the country.

Addressing a gathering in Delhi amidst the inauguration ceremony of Bodofa Upendranath Brahma road , Shah declared, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have given a strong reply in every sphere — whether it is the North East, the Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, or the shadow of terrorism in Kashmir. If someone believes that a cowardly attack is their victory, they must remember that this is the Narendra Modi government — no one will be spared. We are committed to uprooting terrorism from every inch of this country."

Shah emphasized that those spreading terror should not assume triumph after recent attacks. "This battle is not over. Every life lost will be avenged. Every perpetrator will face a befitting reply," he warned.

Earlier in the day, Shah participated in the inauguration ceremony of a new road and statue in Kailash Colony, erected in memory of Bodofa Upendranath Brahma, the revered Bodo leader.

Calling it a moment of personal privilege, Shah said, "It is my good fortune to unveil this statue and inaugurate the road to honour Bodofa. This is not only significant for the Bodo community but also for all small tribes who have fought to preserve their language, culture, and identity. This statue elevates the pride not just of the Bodos but of every community that has struggled for recognition and development."
