Amid the ongoing cold-wave in frontier state Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian Army has rescued 390 stranded civilians and 175 vehicles in sub zero temperatures in Arunachal Pradesh
The Indian Army launched a major civic action operation in Arunachal Pradesh at an altitude of approximately 14000 feet and rescued 390 civilians and 175 civil vehicles stranded in heavy snow on the night of 7 March.

The rescued civilians, who were also provided with immediate medical support and hot snacks after rescue. This incident comes merely days after a similar operation in which the army had rescued as many as 111 civilians stranded due to heavy snow at the Sela Pass.
According to our reports. the Indian Army launched a major civic action operation on 29 February 2020 in Arunachal Pradesh to rescue stranded civilian locals and tourists at an altitude of approximately 14,000 feet amid sub-zero temperatures.
The tourists were stranded in heavy snow at Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh in sub-zero temperature. After rescue, the famished locals and tourists in distress were also provided with hot tea, snacks and food at the site by the Army personnel.
Two teams of the Indian Army, alongwith their medical staff and recovery vehicles relentlessly worked throughout night till the wee hours of Sunday to help as many as 111 civilians including women and small children in 70 vehicles who were stuck at the Sela Pass.
