ITANAGAR: Arunachal Sports and Youth minister Mama Natung today flagged off an eight member team compromising of girls & boys to participate in first ever National Curling championship which will began from January at Gulmarg of Jammu & Kashmir.

This championship is organised by J & K curling Association and is sponsored by ReliGare and is associated with Khelo India.

Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules and shuffleboard

Riba Pangia Dolo, President, Arunachal Pradesh Curling Association informed about the event and said that Curling is an international Olympic sports game played in ice.
