Dr G Singh, the District Veterinary Officer (DVO), said the department has been deploying staffers to various regions to treat mithuns for FMD.
The department recently conducted a campaign in the Taliha and Payeng regions, treated many mithuns.
The Singh stated that “due to the huge geographical area,” the department's staff is having difficulty visiting each and every village.
He urged the locals to gather all of the mithuns infected with FMD in one spot where veterinary staffers could quickly treat them.
