Arunachal: Huge quantity of Cannabis Seized by Miao Police

Guwahati, August 19, 2019:

In a major operation against drug addiction and peddling, the Miao police led by its Officer Incharge Inspector Ege Ete and Sub - Inspector J. Aran last night seized around 3.5 kgs of cannabis (Ganja) and arrested one woman in relation to the case in Arunachal Pradesh.

The accused haS been identified as Fatima Begum, 36 years.

She has been arrested and booked US 17 (C) NDPS Act vide Miao Police Station Case No. 26/19.

According to official sources, the woman was involved in the business of dealing cannabis since the past few years. The woman sold cannabis to school going children, mostly from Tibetan Chophelling Settlement, as well as local youths.
