ITANAGAR: People's Party of Arunachal Pradesh has alleged siphoning of 571 crores fund meant for panchayat bodies by BJP led Pema khandu Government during pandemic.

During a press conference in Itanagar on Wednesday, Kahfa Bengia, President of the party demanded judicial enquiry into alleged misappropriation of the whooping amount meant for panchayat Institutions of twenty five districts of Arunachal under 14th & 15th Finance Commission Grants for the year 2015-20 under "My Village My development".

The People's Party president stated that the said amount was exclusively earnmarked and allocated to various districts of Arunachal through Department of Panchayati Raj as per the documents of Right to Information (RTI).

However, not a single penny was provided to the citizens of rural Arunachal neither any schemes and beneficiary programs were done, alleged Bengia.

"It's a broad day stealing of huge amount of public money and PPA party wrote to Governor pf Arunachal to do free and fair enquiry by first dropping Chief Minister of Arunachal from his chair", he added.

He further handed over all the documents taken out by RTI.

He also urged Governor to order judicial enquiry into this massive scam.
