Arunachal Pradesh records 116 fresh Covid-19 cases, tally rises to 17,546

ITANAGAR: As many as 116 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh over the past 24 hours, taking the tally in the state to 17,546.

Of the fresh cases, 34 were reported from the Capital Complex Region, while Lower Dibang Valley recorded new 20 cases followed by Papumpare 12, West Kameng 11, East Siang 10, Lower Subansiri five, Namsai and Changlang four each, Tawang, Lohit and Anjaw three each, Upper Subansiri and Pakke Kessang two each and East Kameng, Tirap and West Siang one case each.

As many as 454 infected patients are currently under home isolation, while eight are admitted in COVID care centres and six are undergoing treatment at dedicated COVID health centre and hospitals in the state.

Out of the new cases, 80 patients were asymptomatic while 36 others were symptomatic.

On the other hand, 19 more people recuperated from the disease during the period, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 16,940.

The state now has 550 active cases, while the death toll in the state remained unchanged at 56.

The state has so far tested 4,34,293 samples for COVID-19, including 3062 yesterday.
