ITANAGAR: As the number of COVID-19 cases across the country declines, the government of Arunachal Pradesh reduced lockdown restrictions in the state.

However, the Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) district administration has extended the Covid lockdown in the area until June 21. The shops will remain open on alternate days.

The state government has ordered closure of all shops and commercial establishments at 2 pm in the Itanagar Capital Complex.

Restaurants and hotels will be allowed to serve home delivery only until 2 p.m. The shops along NH-415 will be open on alternate days from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Sundays being closed.

The number of COVID-19 positive cases in state has been falling in recent days, while the number of recoveries has increased in the northeastern state.

The state reported 360 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total caseload to 29,696 on Tuesday.

No fatalities have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours, the death toll has stayed at 125.
