9 July 2018:
In a three-day block-wise teacher’s coordination-cum-interaction meeting was conducted at all blocks of Tawang district on Sunday, the teachers resolved to implement Arun Board Examination for classes V and VIII, and conduct the same centrally in suitable locations of different blocks. Besides the Arun Board Exam, as advised by Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi during a meeting held last month, examination of classes III, IV, VI and VII would also be conducted centrally on similar lines with the Arun Board and that remedial classes would be taken for the required classes/students.
The Tawang MLA had opined that centralized examination would give level playing field to the students and would extract maximum potential.
Steps to be taken for effective implementation of Mid-Day Meal scheme in schools were also discussed at length. In-charge DDSE Hridhar Phuntso was accompanied by BEO (HQ) Dondup, APO Sangey Wangchu and others.
