BJP National Council member and State vice president Tame Phassang urged the people to shun ‘money culture’ during elections.
Phassang, who was addressing the party workers at D-Sector here today, opined that the BJP is the party with a difference where people work selflessly for the upliftment of downtrodden people. “We don’t endorse money culture in election and we should refrain from such practices in our State also,” he said.
He added, often we hear about involvement of money in the election but we should shun this culture, if we really want a true leader.
While appealing the party workers to reach the unreached, the BJP vice president said there are more than 200 welfare schemes initiated by PM Narendra Modi-led Central Govt and it is the duty of workers to share the information as well as to check whether the schemes benefits have reached the needy people or not.
Endorsing the ‘Team Arunachal and Arunachal Rising’ slogan, Phassang claimed, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu as well as support from Centre including MoS (Home) Kiren Rijiju, Arunachal Pradesh is marching on right track of development and prosperity.
