A team of eight members successfully scaled the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest on May 20. The team members are from National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh. Dirang is only one such Mountaineering institute in India that has been able to team up a group to reach the world’s highest peak. Six members are from Army and two civilians from Dirang named Dorjee Khandu and Tongchen Nimsonga.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the team for their achievements.
