ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Corruption Students’ Union (AAPACSU) on Sunday observed a 24-hour hunger strike demanding the government of India to take back the land allegedly annexed by China in Upper Subansiri.

 

AAPACSU President Tana Ganesh Tara said that the demands of the union are for the integrity of the government.

 

Tara was quoted in a report, “This is a serious issue, hence it should be solved before it creates further tension in the state’s border areas.

 

He also urged Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju, and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Tapir Gao to address the issue with the center.

It is to be noted that several students' organisations such as The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) and others have carried out protests against the alleged Chinese village in Arunachalal on several occasions.

 

He further stated that in needed the union would organise a hunger strike in New Delhi as well.
