BREAKING | Two protestors shot dead outside Arunachal CM Pema Khandu’s residence

Guwahati, February 24, 2019:

The death toll in the Arunachal Pradesh agitation over the granting of ST status continues to rise. According to sources, two more youths have been shot dead by Arunachal Pradesh authorities as tensions continue to escalate in the state.

With this, the number of dead protestors has risen to three, as a 22-year-old, Risso Tari, died after he was shot dead by authorities on Friday.

Two youths have succumbed to their bullet injuries after they were shot by Arunachal Police as they were scaling the wall to gain access to CM Pema Khandu’s residence in order to vandalize it.

It is to be mentioned that the protestors had earlier set fire to Deputy CM Chowna Mein’s bungalow in Nitivihar and had reached CM Khandu’s official residence intending to do the same.

Meanwhile, protestors have vandalized the DC Office, SP Office, and the Itanagar Police Station have also been vandalized.
