ITANAGAR: All Arunachal Pradesh Abotani Students’ Union on Thursday filed an complaint against Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu over the Kimin issue.
The fire brewed after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted about attending a programme in the “North East” and uploaded a statement from his ministry that suggested the event was held in Assam’s Lakhimpur district.

In the complaint, the student’s union stated that “It is condemnable and unacceptable … to defy the sole right of Arunachalee’s as land owner.”
Refering to the incident the students’ union added that “If any such serious matter arise, he [Pema Khandu] has utmost duty to inform the citizens about seriousness of the issues. In this context Chief Minister connivant with BRO authority in particular and defense Minister as a whole to deprive the land, right and title of Arunachalees.”
They added that “such sensitive state should not be infuriated and sensitized which may create dangerous problems in a near future.”
It urged the concerned authority to register the case and investigate the matter immediately.
Earlier, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) had also filed an FIR against the Border Road Organisation (BRO) chief engineer over theissue.
The student body has lodged the FIR against the BRO Chief Engineer Pramod Kumar and other officials of Project Arunak as well.
