The Congress party, which is seeking to capitalize on the inner disputes within the BJP party, has announced a list of 53 candidates to contest the AssemblyAssemble elections in the frontier state.
The Congress list includes the name of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Chief Takam Sanjoy, who will contest the Lekang (ST) seat and sitting Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering, who will contest the elections Pasighat West (ST) seat.
It may be mentioned that several prominent BJP leaders, including two ministers and six MLAs, left the BJP party and joined the Conrad Sangma-led National People’s Party (NPP).
It may be mentioned that the Arunachal Pradesh will go to the polls on April 11 to decide 60 Assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats.
