With last-minute alliances being forged at the last moment in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it comes as no surprise that the Congress party is trying to bolster its ranks before going up against the BJP in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections in the state, which will be held simultaneously.
Now, the party has announced an alliance with the prominent regional party, the Peoples Party of Arunachal. This was announced by Congress party President Takam Sanjoy on Wednesday. Meanwhile, talks are also on to forge an alliance with Janata Dal (Secular), which is now being fronted by veteran politician and former CM Gegong Apang in the state.
Meanwhile, Nabam Tuki and Kaling Lego are expected to contest for the two seats, Arunachal East and West.
