Gadkari to lay foundation of highway projects in Arunachal

Guwahati, December 19, 2018:

The foundation stone of several highways projects, worth Rs.9,533 crore in Arunachal Pradesh, will be laid by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday.

The projects include some road bridges across Dibang and Lohit rivers in Roing. The length of one of the projects is 30.95 km. Two other projects are a two-lane 25.14 km road from Mahadevpur to Buri Dihing section of National Highway-52 B and 22.23 km Bordumsa-Namchik section of the same highway.

The minister is also likely to lay the foundation for 96.47 km of national highways projects in Roing. According to official sources, the projects will improve connectivity between Assam and Arunachal and within Arunachal.
