Huge amount of cash and arms seized in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh, March 15, 2019:

The police in Arunachal Pradesh have seized a huge amount of cash along with arms and ammunition from different parts of the state just ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Till now, the police have seized cash amounting to Rs 28 lakhs and also a huge amount of ammunition that includes eight rifles, 15 live round cartridges, and 48 local machetes.

It may be mentioned that as per the reports of the Election Commission of India, the most number of election-related money transactions and illegal activities are reported from Arunachal Pradesh.
