New Delhi, March 31, 2020:
The National Investigation Agency or NIA has filed a supplementary chargesheet against a cadre of the Isaak-Muivah faction of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) in a case related to the killing of Arunachal Pradesh MLA Tirong Aboh and others on May 21, 2019.
The NIA on Tuesday filed the supplementary chargesheet against NSCN-IM cadre named Ellei Ketok after it established that "member of the terrorist group of NSCN-IM conspired to commit the terrorist act of killing of Tirong Aboh, MLA Khonsa and 10 others and the terrorist act was committed due to opposition by MLA, Khonsa of illegal/extortion activities of NSCN-IM in Tirap district."
It needs mention here that Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh and ten others were shot dead in May 2019. They were killed near Pansum Thong village in Tirap by armed cadres of the terrorist group. Tirong Aboh and 11 others were killed in the attack while three had sustained injuries.

"Investigation has revealed that the members of NSCN-IM led by self-styled Major General Rockwang Tangkhul @ Absolom Tangkhul of NSCN-IM, who is an absconding accused in the instant case, along with Luckin Mashanva (A-2), Yangte Josaham (A-4), Napong Jenpi (A-5) and Ellie Ketok (A-6) and others formed a terrorist group which was financed by Jai Kishan Sharma (A-43) to execute the said terrorist act," said the NIA statement.
It added, "The members of terrorist group of NSCN-IM had on earlier occasion threatened MLA, Khonsa and his supporters for their opposition to criminal activities of NSCN-IM."
The NIA continues its further investigation to bring the killers of the late Arunachal Pradesh MLA to book.

It may be mentioned here that the NIA had recently conducted raids in the houses of two cadres of the Isaak-Muivah faction of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) in Dimapur town of Nagaland in pursuance of the culprits behind the killing of the Khonsa West MLA.
The NIA conducted two raids — the houses of absconding accused Absalom alias Rockwang Tangkhul, the self-styled Major General of NSCN-IM and James Kiwang, another leader of the rebel outfit that is currently holding talks with the Government to solve the Naga insurgency.

During the raid, two quadrocopter drones, 14 rounds of .32 ammunition, digital devices including 22 mobile phones, 3 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 Apple Macbook, 1 pendrive, 2 memory cards, CDs and a few documents related to monetary transactions were seized.
It may be mentioned that on 10 July 2019, the NIA has re-registered a case RC-03/2019/NIA-GUW arising out of FIR no. 25/2019 dates 21 May 2019 under sections 302, 307 & 34 of IPC, 25 (1B)(A), 27 of Arms Act and Sections 10&18 of UA(P) Act, PS Khonsa, District Tirap of the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
