Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh Ninong Ering has written a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal regarding construction of Railway Lines from Murkong Selek to Pasighat.
In this context, Ering Said, "I hope this letter reaches you in good health. I would like to remind you of my earlier letters regarding the construction of Railway lines from Murkong selek to Pasighat and further on. Sir, the acquisition of the land from Murkong selek (in Assam) to Pasighat had been completed till Ngorlung and Niglok (the Industrial site) in Arunachal Pradesh.”
He added that as the further acquirement of land has been delayed due to the land compensation rates the project has been stalled.
He added that he appealed the minister several times and wrote to him because the dream project of the Prime Minister will not be successful until Pasighat, Roing, Namsai, Rupai and Tinsukia are connected.
He further added, “Hence, to start the project the laying of the railway tracks may be initiated at least to the acquired land till the Niglok Industrial site which will help in process of acquiring the remaining land till Pasighat so that the project may not be stalled."
