Itanagar, July 8, 2019:

The Nyishi Ethnic Students' of Arunachal (NESA) lauded the action taken by the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) led by Superintendent of Police for arresting the accused involved in the multi-crore Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) scam.

The NESA has requested the SIC to arrest every person involved in this scam.

The NESA urged the Principal Secretary of Health and Family for 'transparent' and 'true report' of examination of both the arrested accused and have advised the concerned authorities to "leave no stones unturned."

"Accused admitting themselves in hospital under health pretext is the most common excuses prevailing in Arunachal Pradesh. The committee constituted under the health department should be headed by the Principal Secretary Health and family welfare", the NESA said in a statement.

The Nyishi student body has stated that even the concerned MLAs and DLRSO should also be thoroughly investigated.

The NESA have further expressed doubt that both the persons arrested in the Potin to Bopi TAH Compensation Scam are just 'scapegoats' and alleged that there are more 'high-level members' yet to be arrested.

The NESA has appealed to the state government to ensure that the SIC should be independent and no one should intervene in the matter. "Let the investigation be fair and transparent so that no one should left. Every person involved in the scam should be investigated thoroughly and arrested. The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh should lead the investigation team personally", the student body has appealed.
