CHANGLANG: Changlang police's Anti-Drugs Squad (ADS) arrested one drug peddler seizing a huge contraband Opium in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as--Latpong Sapong (27), a resident of Kangla village in Changlang district.

The ADS, led by Inspector C Yangchang, conducted a raid at Sapong's residence in the intervening night of September 11 and 12 and recovered opium-smeared cloths weighing approximately 1.89 kg and kits used to inhale opium from Sapong's house, according to Changlang SP Mihin Gambo, who oversaw the raid.
A criminal case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS )Act, 1985 has been registered against the peddler at the Changlang police station.
Furthermore, the SP advised all drug addicts to “come forward and undergo self-rehabilitation as many de-addiction camps are being held in the district by the administration under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.”
