Protest against PRC to non-Arunachali citizen goes violent

Guwahati, February 22, 2019:

Protest against the issue of Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) to Non Arunachali citizen turned violent at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.

The angry protestors burnt down police and government vehicles at Itanagar. Heavy damage has been reported from various corners of the capital city.

There are also reports of stone pelting in the area and the protestors trying to break into the state secretariat as the students are angry over the government decision.
