Arunachal: Staff Selection Board to conduct CGL exam on August 1

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) would hold its combined graduate level (CGL) examination at various centres across the state on August 1.

There are a total of 53 vacancies.

Out of the 53 vacant posts, 49 are in district establishments and four of which are in other departments.

A total of 19,193 aspirants have been selected to appear for the Upper Division Clerk (UDC) exam.

The UDC exam will be held in the Itanagar capital region (ICR), Seppa, Tawang, Bomdila, Pasighat, Changlang, Aalo, Khonsa, Namsai, Ziro, and Tezu.

ICR Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom briefed the press on the security measures for the exam in the capital, urging applicants to read the guidelines attentively to prevent problems on examination day.

The examination will take place from 10 am to 1 pm, but the candidates have been asked to reach the examination centre at 7 am along with their admit cards and photo ID.

No additional objects are allowed inside the examination centre, that the candidates will be provided with black ballpoint pens.

Candidates with even-ending roll numbers should arrive between 7 and 8 am, while those with odd-ending roll numbers should arrive between 8 and 9 am, to prevent crowding at the frisking station.

Talo Potom further stated that the applicants will be given envelopes to store some of their belongings such as --cell phones and purses, however, the centre will not take any responsibility if an item is lost or forgotten.

Therefore the DC said it would be better if they do not carry any stuff with them.

Furthermore, the wearing of masks have been made mandate for all the candidates inside the examination hall but will be compelled to remove their masks for verification by exam officials if needed.

Vehicles must be parked at least 50 metres away from the exam centres, said the DC.

The restrictions would apply to all centres across the state and urged all candidates to cooperate.
