Thundersqualls predicted in NE Indian states over the next few days

GUWAHATI: Thundersqualls are very likely tomorrow over Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura, the India Meteorological Department, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India in its regular weather update predicted.

The department also stated that fairly widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely over Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, and Tripura from April 8-12.

Isolated heavy rainfall is also expected over South Assam and Meghalaya today, as well as Arunachal Pradesh on April 9th and 10th.
