Arunachal: CM Pema Khandu condemns China's unilateral renaming of places

Arunachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, has strongly criticized China's recent unilateral renaming of places within the state. Khandu asserted that this marks the fourth instance of such actions by China, but emphasized that it neither impacts nor validates their claim on Arunachal Pradesh.

The Ministry of External Affairs has already responded to China's actions, indicating a diplomatic stance against the renaming efforts.

Expressing his discontent, Khandu, speaking as a native of Arunachal Pradesh, condemned the act unequivocally, labeling it as the fourth in a series of attempts by China to alter place names in the region.

Earlier on April 2, China has released a fourth list of 30 new names of various places along the line of actual control (LAC) in India's northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Ministry of External Affairs rejected China's claims, asserting that Arunachal Pradesh 'was, is, and will always be an integrable part of India'.
