Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12 dedicated 'One station One product stall' for Naharlagun station of Arunachal Pradesh as part of the Rs 85000 crore worth railway projects launched across the country today.
Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt K.T Parnaik along with Techi Kaso local MLA Itanagar and Mayor Itanagar Municipal Corporation Tamme Phassang attended the event.
R S Badole the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Rangia speaking to India Today Ne exclusively stated that the theme of this One station One product is to promote local products and make states like Arunachal self reliant and boost the local economy. ADRM stated that this Naharlagun railway station will soon be modernized and will transform into a standard class station with all facilities of scanner, cctvs and other utilities.
Mayor of Itanagar Tamme Phassang speaking to media appreciated the efforts of PM Modi in improving the railway infrastructure and modernization of the railways during ten years of BJP government.
