With 28 Swiss tourists on board, the "Ganga Vilas," the longest river cruise in the world, arrived in Guwahati on Monday, 42 days after setting off from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
The Swiss visitors toured the renowned Kamakhya Temple and the Assam State Museum before continuing on to Mayong in the Morigaon district.
Earlier on February 18, the world’s longest river cruise reached Goalpara in Assam and anchored at Kachari Ghat. Earlier in the day, the river cruiser departed from the IWAI Dhubri terminal.
