10-Year-Old Minor Girl Allegedly Gangraped in Diphu, 3 Arrested

Diphu,  September 20, 2019:

A ten-year-old minor was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in Diphu's Basic School Colony Area.

The rape occurred at between 12:04 pm when the ten-year-old minor girl, who was employed as domestic help, was raped by three drunken men in the absence of the house's owner.

The rapists have been identified as Tendon Ingti, Chesong Ingti, and Birsing Bey.

The incident reportedly happened when Tendon's sister went to the market. Tendon's sister informed the press that Tendon and his friends allegedly gang-raped the minor girl in a drunken state.

The owner of the house, after coming to know about the incident, immediately took the victim to Diphu hospital for treatment, and gathered information about the culprits with the help of the Karbi Students' Association (KSA).

An FIR was subsequently filed at the Diphu police station.

A day later, on September 18, Tendon Ingti was arrested at Dimapur,  while Birsing bey and Chesong Ingti were arrested from Manja under case no. 256/19, U/s 376DBIPC,  R/W 6 POCSO Act, as informed by Dy. SP Nahid Karishma.

Further investigation is on.
