11th Bodousa Cup Football Tournament to Kick Off Today in Assam

Guwahati, September 11, 2019:

The 11th edition of the Bodousa cup football tournament will kick off on Sunday in Assam. Bodousa Sports clubs will host the event.

Altogether, ten venues across the State of Assam will host the meet - Ghagrapar, Changsari, Bihpuria, Diphu, Margherita, Digboi, Duliajan, Kothalguri Doomdooma, and Tinsukia.

On Sunday, Duliajan will host Moran TC vs Duliajan Academy game, while at Ghagrapar local outfit Ghagrapar RSA will face Ryntih SCC in another group ‘A’ opening match. In the third match to be held on the opening day, TRDSC will take on Tengakhat.

Three I league teams -- Gokulam from Kerala, TRAU from Manipur and Minerva FC from Punjab have also confirmed their participation in the championship, along with OILFC BSF from Jalandhar and the Assam Rifles.

The Bodousa semifinals will be held on October 1 and 2, while the final will be held on October 4.

The Champions will receive a prize money of Rs. 1 lakh, while the Runner-up team will be awarded with Rs. 50,000.

The event is the flagship event of the Bodousa Sports Club, an affiliated unit of the Tinsukia District Sports Association.
