12 gold biscuits valued at Rs 50 lakh were seized from two passengers from the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express in the Guwahati Railway Station on Friday.

Government Railway Police (GRP) during a routine checking seized the gold biscuits weighing approximately one kg from the possession of two passengers who were coming from Dimapur in Nagaland and going to New Delhi. The duo have been arrested and the seized gold was handed over to the customs department.

It may be mentioned that there were several incidents of gold seizure from the Guwahati Railway Station in recent times.
