2 forest guards arrested at Kaziranga for possessing rhino horn

GOLAGHAT: Two forest personnel of Kaziranga National Park have been arrested for possession of a broken piece of rhino horn on Saturday.

Forest authorities of the national park informed that Sonia Orang (forest guard) and Dipen Kumar Nath (home guard) were apprehended by the Forest Range Officer of Bagori in connection with illegal possession of a wildlife trophy - a broken piece of a rhino horn.

A case has been registered against them and investigations are underway.
