3 arrested in Assam's Baksa for firing bullets after polls

BAKSA: At least 3 youths hailing from Baksa district of Assam for allegedly setting off gunfire in a farmer's residence. Arms and ammunitions were seized from the trio.

The trio that was nabbed today had reportedly set off gunfire in Mechguri under Kumarikata in Bakwaas Kumarikata area.

They had reportedly entered the house of a farmer called Krishna Das. Initially, reports of unidentified miscreants setting off gunfire in the peasant's house had created quite the sensation in the district. They were reportedly nabbed near the Indo-Bhutan border earlier today.

"Bikram Uwari has been identified as the mastermind behind the firing", an official stated. Efforts are underway to nab all the suspects.
