The train checking party of the Guwahati Railway Police on Friday recovered a huge quantity of suspected marijuana from Guwahati Railway Station and arrested one person in relation to the case.
The suspected marijuana weighing 30 kgs were recovered from platform no. 3 from the possession of accused who have been identified as Md Rupan Miya, aged 19 years. He is a resident of Khairabari village of West Tripura.

A case has been registered in Guwahati GRPS and an investigation has been initiated.
It is to be mentioned that on August 16, the Guwahati Railway Police today seized 7 kilos of suspected marijuana worth Rs 50,000 approx and apprehended a man in relation to the case.
The man has been identified as Braj Kishore Kumar. According to official sources, Kumar was carrying the 7kg suspected marijuana and boarded the train from Tripura Sundori Express.
