GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Saturday issued new SOPs to facilitate COVID vaccine for beneficiaries without ID cards along with on-site registration for vaccination of age group 18-44 years.
In an official notification, the state government informed that a special session for people without ID cards, like prisoners, old age home members, saints/sadhus, beggars, people in mental healthcare and rehabilitation centres, etc. will be organized.

The vaccination sessions will be organized by the district immunization officers.
It further stated that the facility will be opened for only Tea Garden areas for the time being and slots to be reserved for people without smart phones.
Vaccinator can add beneficiary on-spot and register without identity document. Facility only at government vaccination centres.
District Task Force will be responsible for identifying such individuals/groups, as well as a Key Facilitator, with a working mobile phone number, for such beneficiaries.
Vaccination certificate will be provided in hard copy to such beneficiaries.
Separate vaccination sessions for 45+ age group of GoI supply vaccine and for 18-44 with State procured vaccine will be organized as stated in the official notification.
