AASU Activists Wave Black Flags to Minister Pijush Hazarika in Morigaon

Morigaon, January 29, 2020:

Assam State Minister of Health and Family Welfare Pijush Hazarika and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ramakanta Deuri were shown black flags in Morigaon district on Wednesday.

The activists of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Morigaon wing, showed them black flags as a mark of protest against the BJP-ruled state government and their moves, especially the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA.

The AASU activists also shouted slogans against the BJP government. It may be mentioned here that another similar incident was reported from Golaghat district’s Barpathar area when Minister Pijush Hazarika and executive member Pranab Jyoti Lahakar were shown black flags.

The incident had taken place when he was approaching the Barpathar Rajohuwa Rong Mancha for a BJP meeting in Bokakhat on January 24.

The activists also shouted slogans against him. Meanwhile, dozens of members of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) of Barpathar regional unit showed black flags while Hazarika’s convoy passed through the Barpathar town area of Golaghat district.
