MORAN: A 16-year-old girl, who has allegedly been kidnapped from Moran around 4.30 pm on February 20, remained untraced for the sixth day today.

 

The 16-year-old girl, identified as Mamata Begum, is the daughter of Babul Rahman, a resident of Hathkhola area under Moran police station.

 

Mamata is a student of Class X in the Moran Girls' High School.

 

The accused who kidnapped has been identified as Taffazul Hussain (30), a resident of Khoirabari in Rangiya, Kamrup district.

 

The locals suspected that Taffazul who was working as a mason in Moran has adducted the teenager as part of human trafficking.

Mamata’s father has filed an FIR in the Moran police station.

 

Investigation on the matter is underway, however, her father accused the police department of not getting any proper help from them.

 

Family members of the victim as well as the locals have demanded police speed up their investigation and rescue the girl as soon as possible.
