SIVASAGAR: As many as three ONGC workers are suspected to be abducted by (United Liberation Front of Assam) ULFA-I this morning.
They were abducted from Romonia Work over RIG in Lakuwa area under Sivasagar district of Assam. The abduction happened around 3 am.
The abducted ONGC employees has been identified as--Mohini Mohan Gogoi (Junior Engineering Assistant), Ritil Saikia (Junior Engineering Assistant), and Alokesh Saikia(Junior Engineering).

"3 ONGC employees, 2 Junior Engineer Assistants (Production) & a Junior Technician (Production) have been abducted by unknown armed miscreants in the early hours of 21 April 2021. The abduction took place on a rig site of ONGC in Lakwa field of Sivasagar District," ONGC tweeted.
The abducted employees were taken by the miscreants in an operational vehicle belonging to ONGC.
Later, the vehicle was found abandoned near the Nimonagarh jungles close to the Assam-Nagaland border.
“A complaint has already been lodged by ONGC with the local police, and higher officials of the state police are on the site,” ONGC further tweeted.
The incident has been reported to the local administration, and ONGC is in constant contact with higher authorities.
It is pertinent to mention that recently ULFA-I kidnapped two QUIPPO employees from Arunachal Pradesh and held them captive for more than three months before releasing them.
