AGP allegedly going solo in LS election, list of probable candidates floated

Guwahati, March 10, 2019:

The question that has been on the minds of every political aficionado in regards to the AGP-BJP alliance is: “Will they join hands or won’t they?” Yet, after numerous speculations and drama regarding the alliance in the lead up to the Lok Sabha election, it seems like the two parties will go solo, after all.

As per InsideNE reports, the AGP will field old and trusted party members in the constituencies. This bold move of the AGP party seniors shows that they have chosen to listen to their core voter base, the indigenous people of Assam.

List of probable AGP candidates who are expected to contest the Lok Sabha election:

Lakhimpur: Dr. Paramananda Sonowal or Tularam Gogoi

Tezpur: Brindaban Goswami or Advocate Prem Sarma

Dibrugarh: Rafel Kuju

Jorhat: Hiranya Konwar, MLA Pradeep Hazarika or AJYCP general secretary Palash Sangma

Mangaldai: Birendra Prasad Baishya

Guwahati: Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Kirip Chaliha

Dhuburi: Javed Islam

Karimganj: Goutam Das

Silchar: Misbah ul Haque, Nurul Hussain

Diphu : Prakanta Warisa , Debojit Thaosen

Nogaon : Prafulla Kumar Mahanta
