Guwahati, February 8, 2019:

Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) president Palash Changmai on Friday threatens to ban Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary all over Assam for misleading the people and blaming the protestors for loss of trade and business in the state.

“One of the blue-eyed Minister Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Chandra Mohan Patowary was once a part of the AJYCP. He is the former General Secretary of the organization we are working for. He was among one of the members of the delegation to move the Assam Accord to New Delhi. He was one of the members who participated in the “Gana Andolan” to implement the Assam Accord. But we are ashamed of what he had commented in recent times.

Changmai strongly said, not to mislead the people of Assam otherwise the organization will ban Patowary in the entire Assam. He said, “The government organized Advantage Assam investing nearly Rs 40 crore which was a failure. It is very unfortunate that they are blaming us but this government is in the reign only through this protest. If Patowary would not have participated in the Assam Agitation, no one would have known him.”
