GUWAHATI: Ajanta Neog, the former Congress stalwart who represents Golaghat in the Assam Assembly, has promised to "reveal everything" once she joins the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Neog ended all speculations yesterday after her meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who had arrived in Assam to blow the bugle ahead of the Assembly Polls in Assam.
The Assam Congress leaders, meanwhile, have lashed out at Neog for jumping ship ahead of the all-important Assembly Polls. Assam Congress President Ripun Bora has alleged that Neog is joining the party due to "blackmail." Neog stated yesterday that she will clarify all after joining the saffron party.
The MLA stated that she had not broken her silence or confirmed anything earlier since she was in party discipline. "However, all the details will be revealed after my joining of the BJP," adding that she will intimate when and where she will be joining the BJP.
Neog met Union Home Minister Shah at the Inspection Bungalow in Amingaon, Guwahati, where a core committee meeting of the saffron party was held.

Congress had on Friday expelled Ajanta Neog from its primary membership for "indulging in anti-party activities".
Ajanta Neog had met Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and North-East Democratic Alliance convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier this month. The meeting sparked rumours in the media that the senior Congress leader would join the BJP.
According to Cabinet Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharjee, many senior politicians have been attracted to the BJP due to the "success" of the BJP.
