Guwahati, March 13, 2019:

The Forum against Citizenship Act Amendment Bill on Wednesday has criticized the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for renewing their alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing the media, the Forum’s chief, Dr. Hiren Gohain said, “We have heard that the AGP has moved into an alliance with the BJP just for few seats and money. This will discourage and outrage the grass root workers of the party. This decision has destroyed the ideology of the AGP party. The AGP’s betrayer leaders may again wear the mask of patriotism but the voters of the state must segregate the party and keep these parties away.”

It may be mentioned that the AGP-BJP alliance has disappointed the entire state and the organizations that have supported the party for its ideology of protecting the indigenous people’s right and identity.
