APCC To Take Action Against Gautam Roy

Guwahati, June 15, 2019:

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) held a party meeting with party MLAs in Guwahati to discuss important matters in the upcoming 2021 Assembly elections.

Sources within the Congress informed Inside Northeast that party is targeting to take over in the 2021 Assembly elections.

APCC president Ripun Bora said that now, Congress’ target is Mission 80.

According to reports, the party is likely to take strong action against former Congress minister Gautam Roy for allegedly celebrating the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recently declared Lok Sabha elections and few other senior leaders by the Congress body. This action may lead to suspension as well, sources said.

The other leaders against whom action will be taken are former MP Dwijen Sharma, Romen Borthakur and youth leader of the party Partha Pratim Bora for allegedly breaking the laws of the party’.
