APSC scam: Four more officers granted bail

Guwahati, October 10, 2018:

Four more accused of the infamous cash-for-jobs scam in Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) were granted bail by the Gauhati High Court on Wednesday.

According to sources, the court granted bail to Debajit Bora (ACS), Hemanta Hillol Saikia (APS), Jatindra Prasad Baruah (APS) and Jyotirmoy Adhikari (allied service).

With these, so far 21 officers have been granted bail.

It may be mentioned the court had rejected their bail pleas multiple times in the past few months. All the accused officers had secured plum jobs allegedly by shelling out money.
