Army organises Run for Unity in Chirang

Kokrajhar, October 31, 2018:

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of ‘Iron Man of India’ Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, a ‘Run for Unity’ was organized by Army Battalion at Chirang in consonance with civil administration of district Chirang at community centre Kajalgaon.

The run was attended by an overwhelming number of students from different schools of Chirang district, local populace, troops from Army and SSB units.  The run was flagged off by Ratul Baruah,, DC, Chirang.  ‘National Unity Day’ pledge was taken to safeguard the unit and integrity of the nation by all the participants and attendees before the run.

The event culminated with the prize distribution to the first 10 runners in boys and girls category separately.

Baruah further Chirang appealed to the gathering to act in a way to promote national unity and integrity and make the district an example for others.
