ASJA Inter-Media Sports Fest in Guwahati from March 6

GUWAHATI: The annual Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) Inter-Media Sports Festival,2021 will be held in Guwahati from March 6 to 9.

 

The programme will be organised by ASJA, the sole affiliate of the Sports Journalists Federation of India in Assam.

 

The much-awaited annual event aims to promote fitness and brotherhood among Assamese journalists of Assaam. It will feature sports like badminton, table tennis, chess, and seven-a-side football.

 

The event will be confined to Assamese journalists only unlike in the past due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

 

All pandemic precautions will be observed at all times, during the Festival.

Here is the schedule and venue for the games

 

Badminton tournament for both men (team and singles) and women (singles):

• March 6 at Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium

 

Table Tennis for both men (team and singles) and women (singles):

• March 7 at Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium

 

Chess:

• March 8 at ASJA Office, Nehru Stadium, B Borooah Road, Guwahati

 

Football:

• March 8 and 9 at Nehru Stadium.
