An FIR has been lodged against the owner of the auto van for trespassing of railway tracks, which is a punishable offence under section 147 (i) of the Indian Railways Act.
The railway authority, in consultation with the State Government authorities, is said to have closed the unauthorised track-crossing in that area for road vehicle movement by erecting posts for the protection of common people.
However, some miscreants uprooted the blockades for trespassing.
Railway authority appealed to the common people to avoid trespassing of railway track as it is extremely dangerous and can result in not only the death of road users but also train accidents.
