Assam: 168 kg Ganja Seized in Barpeta, One Arrested

Guwahati, February 18, 2020:

Assam Police have seized a total of 168 kg suspected ganja on Wednesday.

Based on specific input, Police stopped a vehicle, bearing registration number WB 25G- 5825 and seized fourteen packets of ganja.

Each of the packets contained 12 kg ganja. The vehicle was stopped on the Agartala-Siliguri route.

Police have also arrested the driver of the truck. Identified as Mahammad Ahmed Lal (22 years), the driver hails from Murshidabad, West Bengal.
