"It is unclear at what time the fire started....we came outside upon being exhorted by the mother and grandmother. They were screaming for help to save the children who were trapped within. However, the fire had turned into a blazing inferno at that point and there was little we could do to help. The fire-tenders arrived after half an hour or so, but it was too late by then...", a local told reporters.
