Assam: .22 Pistol, Along With Ammunition, Recovered in Lanka

Lanka, September 3, 2019:

The authorities of Lanka in Assam have made yet another breakthrough. Late at night on Monday in Lanka's Bordolong, the authorities conducted an operation at the end of which, a .22 pistol, along with seven rounds of ammunition, was recovered.

The pistol and the ammo has been recovered from the house of a certain Mohammad Sahejuddin, a local resident of Bordolong.

The successful operation was launched under the guidance of Bordolong SI Abu Bakar Siddique. He said, "We were informed by our sources that a person in Bordolong was conducting some illegal activities using a pistol. We carried out an operation, at the end of which we were able to locate the pistol in the hidden inside a boat in the courtyard of his house.."

Sahejuddin made his escape after being alerted to the coming of the authorities, and thus, no arrests have been made so far.
